Background to new company name announcement

ShareFinder had the intention to move into international markets many years ago. After much planning, process re-engineering and development that time is now imminent.

Whilst the ShareFinder business name is synonymous with mechanical systems in Australia this is not the case in the UK and in South Africa where ShareFinder is used both as a product and a company name. Furthermore, URLs for ShareFinder are already being used in the UK and USA . All this would have at least led to confusion in those marketplaces if not further formal action.

Also, ShareFinder was originally chosen as a business name because the main product that was marketed and supported when we first opened our doors for business was called ‘ShareFinder 2’. This product has not been marketed since 1999 and is no longer supported.

The combination of these two factors initiated a ‘new business name’ project. The front runner was ‘IntellEdgence’ however this ran into problems with Intel’s lawyers in Australia. As it would have taken as much as two years, or maybe more, to resolve the use of IntellEdgence, or an acceptable variation thereof in both Australia and then the United States, we decided to continue the name search.

With the assistance of an outside consultant the name Share Wealth Systems was chosen as our new company name.

Share Wealth Systems

The Share Wealth Systems name has a double meaning, one for business and one for the owners’ personal vision.

From a business perspective, the name tells someone interested in our products and services exactly what we are about.

Share: The word ‘share’ generically describes the environment in which our business operates – the financial markets. Shares, or derivative instruments of shares, are what our customers buy and sell.

Wealth: Wealth is our customers’ end objective and what we can assist them achieve. The word ‘wealth’ exudes prosperity and abundance whether it be monetary, skill or otherwise.

Systems: Systems are what we do – specifically, mechanical systems in the share market are what we provide to our customers to assist them on their journey to achieve wealth.

Here the accentuation is on ‘Wealth Systems’.

From a personal vision perspective, it is the owners’ belief that once our customers, ourselves and others alike achieve a personally chosen level of monetary wealth they should consider sharing their wealth with others that are needy and less fortunate than themselves. Here the accentuation is on ‘Share Wealth’.

It is part of our company’s mission statement to project a philosophy through our products, coaching and actions that ‘there is more to it than just money’. The owners believe that we all need to improve our personal outlooks to be far more ‘others-centred’ which can be manifested through sharing our wealth - financial, skill and otherwise - with those that need it more than ourselves.
